Pursue Iceland Wins “Iceland’s Best Inbound Golf Tour Operator 2025” - And We’re Only Getting Started

If you’ve ever played golf in Iceland, you already know: this island has no business being this good at the sport. Lava fields for fairways, ocean spray drifting across greens, midnight tee times, and a landscape that looks more like Mars than Scotland. It’s wild, it’s surreal, and it’s unforgettable.

So yes, we’re thrilled to share that we’ve been named “Iceland’s Best Inbound Golf Tour Operator 2025” by the World Golf Awards. We earned the award under our golf label, Iceland Golf Travel, but as many of you know, we’ve now merged both Iceland Golf Travel and Iceland Soccer Travel under one unified brand: Pursue Iceland.

Same people. Bigger vision. More sports, more experiences, and a whole lot more Iceland.

    Why Iceland?
Because the world is catching on

Golfers have been whispering about Iceland for years, but it’s starting to hit the mainstream. Even the Daily Mail recently spotlighted Iceland as one of Europe’s most surprising golf destinations, highlighting everything from world-class course design to the raw natural beauty you simply can’t replicate anywhere else.

No matter where you play here, you feel the landscape in every shot. And we’ve built our itineraries around that feeling.

    Our favorites?
Hard to choose, but let’s start here

Vestmannaeyjar Golf Course

Often described as one of the most dramatic courses on the planet. You’re playing at the foot of a volcano, with cliffs, sea birds, and high-contrast scenery that makes even a double bogey look good in photos.

Keilir Golf Club (Hvaleyrarvöllur)

Front nine on lava fields. Back nine along the coastline. It’s the only course where you might lose a ball because it blended in with volcanic rock.

Brautarholt Golf Course

If you’ve ever seen a picture of golf in Iceland, chances are it was Brautarholt. Perched along the edge of the Atlantic, every hole feels like it was designed by nature first and humans second. Consistently ranked among the world’s top 100 golf courses.

Kiðjaberg Golf Course

Tucked into one of Iceland’s most beautiful valleys, Kiðjaberg is pure serenity with a competitive edge. The course winds through rolling hills, lava formations, and sweeping river views that feel almost unreal.

The new Pursue Iceland brand allows us to expand beyond just soccer and golf. We’re developing multi-sport itineraries, educational travel, and flexible packages for teams, families, and adventurous travelers who want more from their trip than a standard sightseeing bus.

But golf will always be a core part of who we are. Winning this award is a milestone - but the fun part is everything we’re building next.

If you’re thinking about planning a golf trip to Iceland in 2026 or 2027, reach out. Bring your clubs. Bring your friends. And bring a camera - you’ll need evidence when you tell people what you just played in.
