From Iceland Soccer Travel to Pursue Iceland: A New Chapter Begins

At the end of this past summer we officially turned the page from Iceland Soccer Travel to our expanded identity: Pursue Iceland. The name changed, the brand grew, and the vision got a lot bigger, but the core stayed the same: the same people, the same passion, and the same obsession with creating unforgettable trips to Iceland.

This shift wasn’t just a rebranding. It was the natural next step after years of welcoming incredible teams, schools, and clubs to Iceland. What started with soccer has evolved into full-scale sports travel, educational immersion programs, and even golf trips built around some of the most dramatic courses on the planet.

    Years of Unbelievable Visitors

Through the company, as both Iceland Soccer Travel and Pursue Iceland, we’ve hosted an amazing lineup of groups:

Teams like Nebraska and Iowa brought the intensity you’d expect from top-tier college programs. Their training sessions, matches, excursions, and team bonding days set the tone for what high-level performance travel looks like in Iceland.

A wide variety of D3 programs and club teams have come with a more balanced focus - competition, cultural exploration, team building, and that “let’s enjoy being here” energy that works perfectly in Iceland.

Multiple US boarding schools have visited, blending athletics with educational days at waterfalls, black-sand beaches, geothermal areas, and museums. These trips have become a core part of what Pursue Iceland now offers - true educational travel where students learn through the landscape.

Youth and adult club teams from Europe and North America have filled out the rest of our year. Training sessions, friendly matches, evening swims in geothermal pools… and some very competitive post-game hot dog eating challenges.

Expanding Beyond Soccer

Our rebrand reflects what our travelers have asked for: more options, more activities, and more ways to experience Iceland.

Soccer Trips

Still the heart of the company. From preseason tours to performance camps to friendly-match circuits, Iceland remains one of the world’s best destinations for teams who want both training intensity and natural beauty.

Educational Trips

Schools and academic programs now come to explore Iceland’s geology, sustainability initiatives, renewable energy models, volcanoes, glaciers, and culture. These trips look different for every group, but they all leave with the same reaction: “This should be part of our curriculum every year.”

Golf Trips

With world-ranked courses like Brautarholt and Kiðjaberg, dramatic island-play layouts in Vestmannaeyjar, and long summer daylight hours, golf travel grew naturally into our offerings. Being awarded Iceland’s Best Inbound Golf Tour Operator 2025 was the perfect confirmation that we’re on the right track.

    Why Pursue Iceland?

HORIZ_MAIN_0.25x 1.png

Because Iceland isn’t just a destination - it’s an experience that fits sport, education, adventure, wellness, team building, culture, and curiosity all in one. We wanted a brand that reflects that bigger picture.

Pursue Iceland means:

  • Pursue competition

  • Pursue education

  • Pursue adventure

  • Pursue team bonding

  • Pursue something unforgettable

Whether it’s a D1 soccer team doing recovery sessions in a hot river, a high school exploring volcanic craters, or a group of golfers taking on cliffside fairways in the midnight sun, the real magic happens when the environment becomes part of the trip.

    What’s Next

HORIZ_MAIN_0.25x 1.png

We’re already planning new itineraries for 2026 and 2027 - more sports, more partnerships, more academic programs, and even more ways to make Iceland accessible to teams and schools from around the world.

And of course, we’ll continue sharing videos and photos from each trip. The best moments come from our travelers, and we can’t wait to highlight more of them.

If your team, school, or club is thinking about Iceland… we’d love to build something for you.

    FAQ

HORIZ_MAIN_0.25x 1.png

Why did Iceland Soccer Travel rebrand to Pursue Iceland? Because our offerings expanded far beyond soccer. We now host soccer teams, golf groups, boarding schools, universities, and educational programs. Pursue Iceland reflects the full range of experiences we build across sports, academics, and adventure.

Is the company still run by the same team? Yes. Same staff, same leadership, same local expertise - just a broader vision and a stronger brand.

Do you still offer soccer trips? Absolutely. Soccer remains our foundation. We continue to host NCAA programs (D1, D2, D3), NAIA programs, club teams, academies, and international youth groups.

What new types of trips do you offer? We’ve added educational trips, performance-based tours, multi-sport experiences, cultural programs, and golf trips - including access to some of Iceland’s top-ranked courses.

Can a team combine sports and sightseeing? Yes, and most groups do. Iceland is built for mixed itineraries - training, matches, waterfalls, glaciers, geothermal baths, volcanoes, museums, and more.

Do you customize trips for each team or school? Every itinerary is fully customized. NCAA programs, boarding schools, youth clubs, and universities each have different needs. We build around your goals, budget, and travel dates.

How do we inquire or start planning a trip? Teams, schools, and clubs can reach out directly through our website by clicking the "Get Started" button at the top. We’ll help you design the perfect Iceland experience from start to finish.

Welcome to the new Pursue Iceland.
